Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
Neon City looks like a greeting from the 80s: a dark background with neon lines that shimmer with every spin, and symbols styled as glowing signboards — cards, numbers and arrows lit as if by lamps. The overall look is simple but not empty: the grid feels integrated into a night-time cityscape full of lights, without excessive animations.
🎶 Sound
The soundtrack relies on synth riffs and a light electronic beat — all in the spirit of retrowave. Wins trigger a short digital accent, and in bonus rounds, the melody becomes slightly more dynamic, though never intrusive. The sound serves more as atmosphere than as a driver, but it fits well into the neon aesthetic.

Special Symbols
To better understand how to play Neon City, it’s important to look at the special symbols and their functions:
- Wild (neon WILD sign): substitutes for all standard symbols except the collecting, reducing and scatter symbols. It also pays on its own — x5, x10 and x25 for combinations of 3, 4 or 5.
- Scatter (cards with SCATTER): triggers free spins. 3 scatters pay x2.5, 4 pay x5, 5 pay x7.5.
- Collecting Symbol (green arrow): each appearance increases the bonus counter, bringing you closer to triggering the Mega Spins.
- Reducing Symbol (red arrow): each appearance decreases the bonus counter, pushing the Mega Spins activation further away.
Bonus Game
Neon City has no respins or additional micro-features — everything revolves around two types of free spins and the gamble feature.
- Free Spins with a progressive multiplier are triggered by 3, 4 or 5 scatters (10, 15 or 20 FS). The multiplier starts at x1 and increases after consecutive wins, up to a maximum of x9. The achieved value does not reset after dead spins. A retrigger is possible.
- Mega Spins: activated when the accumulating-symbol counter reaches 8. After that, the feature triggers only if two green arrows land in a single spin. Red arrows no longer reduce the counter at this stage. The player receives 8 FS with a fixed x8 multiplier. There is no retrigger here, and this mode does not overlap with standard free spins.
- Gamble (Risk Game): available after any win. You can double your amount by choosing between two symbols or take your current payout. You may stop the gamble at any step. Up to 7 steps are available.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
RTP — 96.25%. Volatility is adjustable (you can choose high/medium/low manually). The maximum win is capped at x1,250 of the stake.
Our Verdict
Neon City leaves the impression of a neat retro slot where neon visuals and simple mechanics are wrapped around two different bonus modes. In the base game, wins appear unevenly: long stretches of dead spins can quickly alternate with short bursts of payouts. Free spins with the progressive multiplier feel livelier — especially if you manage to maintain a streak and hit x6–x9. Mega Spins with a fixed x8 multiplier look tempting, but trigger noticeably less often. The gamble feature is included as a typical Wazdan addition.
