Phoenix Graveyard: Design and Theme
🖼️ Graphics
A gothic city with narrow streets, stained-glass windows and stone gargoyles. The reel frames resemble tombstones, and on them — the characters: a stern old man, a lady in red, a musician. In the base game, the grid looks dense and heavy, but once a split triggers, the edges of the cells spark with arcs and the number of paths increases. In free spins, the visuals accelerate: the Phoenix jumps between positions, the Reaper moves from left to right, effects ignite and fade — everything feels electrically charged.
🎶 Sound
The music is majestic, with a touch of unease. A steady marching rhythm runs in the background. There are no bright bursts on regular wins: the sound accents appear on splits and on the Reaper’s steps. In the bonus, the audio layer becomes denser, but never turns into fanfare.

Special Symbols
To better understand how to play Phoenix Graveyard, keep in mind a simple rule: all the drama revolves around two Wilds and the random “splitting” of positions, which expands the paths to wins:
- Phoenix Wild (fiery bird): remains on the reels during respins and free spins. Before its first jump, it receives a multiplier equal to the number of paths in its current position, then jumps to a new one. It participates in the “battle” with the Reaper. Has no payout on its own.
- Reaper Wild (hooded figure with a scythe): appears on reels 3–5. After wins are evaluated, it attacks adjacent cells with top symbols or the Phoenix, triggers a respin and steps left. Before its first step, it receives a multiplier based on the paths of its position. It can randomly return to reel 5 and continue respins. Has no payout on its own.
- Feather Wild: after the Phoenix jumps, it leaves behind a feather; on the next respin/spin it turns into a Phoenix and receives its own multiplier based on the paths in that cell.
- Scatter (BONUS, black bird in a golden frame): required to trigger free spins.
- Sudden Death: random splitting of any free position with path expansion; the effect persists for the entire round, including respins and free spins.
Bonus Game
In free spins, the stage “builds up”: all path tiles created before the bonus carry over into it, and awarded Phoenixes remain until the end of the round, jumping every spin.
Number of spins on trigger:
- 3 Scatters: 6 FS
- 4 Scatters: 8 FS
- 5 Scatters: 10 FS
At the start, you receive 1/2/3 Phoenixes; each immediately gains a multiplier based on the paths of the cell where it spawns. The bonus can retrigger; existing Phoenixes remain active.
RTP, Volatility, Max Win
RTP — 95%. Volatility is high. Maximum win is capped at x10,000 of the stake.
Our Verdict
Phoenix Graveyard isn’t a slot where things happen every minute. The base game often plays quietly, but once splitting occurs, the grid comes alive sharply, and the number of paths grows almost geometrically. The encounter between Phoenix and Reaper adds drama: multipliers rise, Wilds clash, and the screen bursts with effects.
The bonus is a long ride — tense, but full of potential if you catch several active Phoenixes. This slot suits players who aren’t afraid of downturns and enjoy when every event feels explosive.
