Design and Theme

🖼️ Graphics

In the base game, Thai Princess looks like a classic postcard-style slot: a warm pastel-blue background with palms and the sea, and in the centre, reels framed in heavy gold. The symbols are exactly what you’d expect from a resort theme: boats by the shore, temples, elephants, fans, Buddha statues, and the princess herself.

In the bonus mode, the picture changes: the background shifts to a more purple-palace tone, and above the main grid appears a board with four mini reel sets — as you collect lotuses, new windows open. Visually, the bonus looks like a gradual shift from a calm postcard to a brighter, more saturated screen, but without visual chaos.

🎶 Sound

During spins, a short Asian motif plays: light percussion, flute passages and characteristic whistles. As soon as the reels stop, the melody cuts off almost instantly — it sounds a bit abrupt. Wins are marked with a separate sound: a more festive, almost Christmas-style jingle with bells that overshadows the base audio. Overall, the audio leans towards a resort-style background sound, but with sharp pauses you need to get used to.

Special Symbols

To understand how to play Thai Princess, it’s enough to know how the slot treats its two key symbols — the wild and the scatter; both the base game and the bonus revolve around them.

  • Wild (the princess in a pink dress): substitutes for any regular symbols on the line except the scatter, helping to complete or extend a combination. Appears on all reels and pays the highest amounts on its own: x5 for three symbols, x100 for four, and x1000 for five in a line.
  • Scatter (lotus flower on a blue background): not tied to paylines and counts in any position on the screen. Responsible for triggering the bonus game.

Bonus Game

Thai Princess has one bonus mode — Lotus Flower Free Spins, but inside it gradually upgrades as you collect lotuses.

After triggering, the slot moves the game to a different screen with four reel sets, only one of which (the bottom left) is active at the start.

  • 3 scatters — 15 free spins.
  • 4 scatters — 20 free spins.
  • 5 scatters — 50 free spins.

The internal progression works as follows:

  • 12 lotuses: the second reel set unlocks, the wild becomes expanding on that grid, and +5 additional free spins are awarded.
  • 18 lotuses: the third reel set unlocks, the wild remains expanding, and the new grid removes low symbols 10, J and Q; +5 more free spins.
  • 24 lotuses: the fourth reel set unlocks, and on it 10, J, Q, K and A are removed — only premium symbols and expanding wilds remain; +5 extra spins.

Free spins continue until all accumulated spins are used.

RTP, Volatility, Max Win

RTP — 95.53%. Volatility is not specified by the provider, but it feels medium-high. The maximum win is capped at x50,000 of the stake.

Our Verdict

Thai Princess feels like a calm resort-style slot that unexpectedly knows how to flood the screen with a single symbol. In the base game you very often see 3–4 reels filled with matching symbols, so the balance almost doesn’t dip even if the bonus takes a while to appear. Lines pay regularly, and thanks to stacked symbols the game sustains itself through a series of medium hits rather than rare big wins.

Free spins with four reel sets are a more unhurried experience: sometimes lotuses drop actively and you manage to unlock additional grids, sometimes you remain on a single screen with base symbols and the sense that the slot didn’t quite push the progression far enough. But when wilds start expanding across several sets and low letters disappear from the upper reels, the bonus potential becomes very clear.

The slot suits players who enjoy classic Blueprint line-based games with simple gameplay, a clear base, and a bonus that can be built up by collecting symbols. If you want something even simpler, Cleocatra is an option — it bets on cute cats and a straightforward bonus without multi-level progression. And for a beachy vibe in a more modern style, Aloha King Elvis is a better fit: there, the resort atmosphere is delivered through a fresher, more dynamic slot.
