Guardiola on Rodri's Injury: "This Season is Over for Him"

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has announced that midfielder Rodri will miss the entire 2024/25 season due to injury.

"Unfortunately Rodri got the worst outcome. He got surgery this morning, ACL and some meniscus. This season is over for Rodri. Next season, he will be here”, Guardiola told journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano.

On September 22, Rodri sustained a severe knee injury during the Premier League match against Arsenal (2-2) and left the field in the 21st minute.

Rodri has been with Manchester City since July 2019 and is one of the leading contenders for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
