Al-Ahli Saudi are in excellent form and are chasing Al-Nassr, who lead the Saudi Pro League. The hosts now face a very difficult match against Al-Ittihad, who have looked fairly good since selling Karim Benzema.

The league's best defence (only 15 goals conceded) combines with a powerful attack led by Ivan Toney, who tops the league scoring chart with 23 goals. Although the hosts have conceded 11 goals at home, they are one of only three clubs still unbeaten on their own ground.

They have not started the year particularly well. Under Sérgio Conceição they have drawn four and lost three of their last 13 matches. The defence is a particular problem: there have been only two clean sheets in the last 11 league rounds. Away from home the situation is even worse; the visitors have failed to win six matches in a row, although they have scored in five of them.

This match is likely to produce goals, with the hosts more likely to come out on top; they are capable of competing with Al-Nassr. The visitors do score even in the absence of Karim Benzema, but they are not impressive away from home.
