Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Champions League match.
AS Monaco will look to claim their first win in a month and recover from a poor start to their Champions League campaign as they host an inconsistent Tottenham Hotspur side still searching for rhythm in Europe.
AS Monaco
AS Monaco are going through a transitional period. After Adi Hütter guided them to a Ligue 1 podium finish, new head coach Sébastien Pocognoli began his tenure with a disappointing 1:1 draw against Angers. Yet at Stade Louis II, Monaco remain a formidable force — unbeaten in five home matches this season (three wins, two draws), including an impressive 2:2 result against Manchester City in the Champions League. Their standout performer has been Ansu Fati, who has rediscovered his spark with six goals in six appearances and was named Monaco’s Player of the Month for September.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur have been a mixed bag this season. Despite suffering only two defeats in twelve official matches, they’ve won just once in their last four outings. The 2:0 victory over Manchester City was a highlight, but the 1:1 draw with struggling Wolverhampton and a 1:2 loss to Aston Villa exposed lingering issues. In the Champions League, Tottenham are clinging to a top-eight position after a narrow 1:0 win over Villarreal (via an own goal) and a 2:2 draw with Bodø/Glimt, salvaged by a late equaliser. Injuries to key players — Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Dominic Solanke — further complicate Ange Postecoglou’s task.
AS Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction
Monaco’s resilience at home and sharp attacking form give them the upper hand against a depleted Tottenham side still struggling to find consistency in Europe. Expect the hosts to at least avoid defeat at Stade Louis II.
