Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
After Napoli’s win yesterday, Roma now trail the Serie A leaders by three points. Their next opponent is Parma, and Roma are expected to take all three points.
AS Roma
Gian Piero Gasperini has found a new way to strengthen Roma’s attack, moving Paulo Dybala into the central striker role. The Argentine has scored in each of the last two matches, and the experiment is paying off. Combined with a rock-solid defence, having conceded just three goals in eight league games, Roma look every bit a title contender.
Parma
Parma, on the other hand, are winless in three matches and, more worryingly, have failed to score in any of them. Their recent opponents, Lecce, Genoa, and Como, are far from elite sides, with the first two sitting near the relegation zone. Overall, Parma have found the net only three times in eight matches this season, which is a dreadful return.
AS Roma vs Parma Prediction
The league’s best defence meets its weakest attack. It’s hard to imagine Parma breaking Roma down. A comfortable home win by a couple of goals looks the most likely outcome.
