One of the underdogs of the Premier League, Leeds United, will travel to Birmingham to face Birmingham City, and they are expected to come away with a win. That is what the bookmakers’ odds suggest.
Birmingham City
However, Birmingham City were still playing in League One last season and are now only a mid-table side in the Championship. Leeds United had already moved past this level last term; in the Premier League they took a long time to settle, but now they are one of the most awkward opponents outside the top clubs. The hosts have only recently stopped suffering unnecessary defeats: they are unbeaten in seven league matches since the turn of the year (four wins and three draws). In the third round they nearly let a win slip against Cambridge United — they were 3:0 up but conceded twice in the final 10 minutes.
Leeds United
In the previous round Leeds faced Birmingham City's mid-table neighbour Derby County and won fairly comfortably 3:1 away. In their last Premier League match, Chelsea once again suffered at their hands despite having substitutes on the bench worth tens of millions; the visitors showed character by coming back from 0:2 down at Stamford Bridge, doing it in just 15 minutes.

Of course, Daniel Farke will rotate his squad, but the visitors' current reserves are still stronger than the hosts' first XI. It may not be straightforward, but we see little chance that they fail to win in normal time, so we are backing them with a zero handicap.
