As expected, they had no problems, winning 5:0 away. That is one thing, but what can the hosts, who are in the relegation zone of the third tier, realistically hope for here? West Ham United are 18th in the Premier League standings, but their recent results have been more encouraging for their supporters. Over the last five league matches, Nuno Espírito Santo’s team have lost only once – 2:3 to Chelsea, having led in that game. On Tuesday they held Michael Carrick’s Manchester United to a 1:1 draw, missing out on victory by only one minute.

As for the FA Cup and Burton Albion, in the previous round West Ham United eliminated Queens Park Rangers, a club from the Championship, with a 2:1 win, and they have not faced the side before. In their current form, the visitors should beat the hosts in normal time.
