Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Finals match.
Carlos Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz is unstoppable: he has already registered 70 wins and only nine losses this season. The Spaniard has lifted eight titles, including two Grand Slams (Roland Garros and the US Open). Throughout his career, he has played 50 indoor matches, winning 34 of them. However, he has not yet shone at the ATP Finals, only reaching the semi-finals in 2023. At this event, he has secured two victories with a margin of at least four games.
Lorenzo Musetti
Lorenzo Musetti opened his ATP Finals campaign well: a season that included the Monte-Carlo Masters final, the Roland Garros semi-finals, the US Open quarter-finals, and entry into the top 10. However, he has suffered five losses in six hard-court matches against top-10 opponents in 2025. His only win came in the latest meeting with Alex de Minaur, where the Italian rallied (7:5, 3:6, 7:5) after trailing 3:5 in the third set. He struggles against Carlos Alcaraz (1:5 head-to-head) and has lost to the world No. 2 three times this year.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Lorenzo Musetti Prediction
Carlos Alcaraz uses speed and constant pressure to deny Lorenzo Musetti time to set up his shots, often earning early breaks. The Italian will respond with variety and his backhand, but the matchup still favors the Spaniard. We expect Carlos Alcaraz to win with a margin of at least four games.
