At Abanca Balaídos Stadium, two neighbours in the standings will meet: Celta de Vigo and Osasuna. Celta de Vigo are having a solid season and have settled in the upper half of mid-table, whereas the visitors only recently claimed their first away win of the campaign.
Celta de Vigo
Celta de Vigo are in excellent form, with only one defeat and five wins in their last eight matches. Claudio Giráldez's side have improved defensively and have kept six clean sheets in that spell. There has been a slight dip in attack, with a 1:3 defeat to Real Sociedad and a goalless draw with Getafe, but at Abanca Balaídos Stadium they are excellent: 16 of their 29 total goals have been scored there, and only against RCD Espanyol (0:1) did they fail to find the net.
Osasuna
Osasuna are in the top ten, but their results are far from ideal, especially away from home. Over 11 away fixtures they have collected only five points. In the last round Alessio Lisci's team beat Rayo Vallecano, but scored both decisive goals only in added time beyond the 90th minute. They struggle in defence and have kept just one away clean sheet. Their record against Celta de Vigo is poor as well: three defeats in the last four head-to-head meetings, conceding on average more than two goals per game.
Celta de Vigo vs Osasuna Prediction
Celta de Vigo are better balanced, solid in defence and strong against mid-table sides at Osasuna's level. The visitors rely too heavily on their home results and look toothless away. We expect the hosts to win this match.
