Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have not conceded for two matches if we include the EFL Cup. Before beating Brentford at Selhurst Park, the team defeated Liverpool at Anfield (3:0). It appears the hosts are returning to their early successful run when they did not lose in the first six rounds of the Premier League, and if we include the FA Community Shield and the end of last season, the sequence reached 13 matches. However, shutting them out was rarely easy for opponents: in eight matches during that span, they conceded.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Despite inconsistent results, Brighton & Hove Albion are not far behind Crystal Palace: they trail by just one point and one position (10th). In the 10th round, the team beat Leeds United (3:0). The victory was secured by a brace from Diego Gómez midway through the second half. Are they as effective away? Yes: in four of their five away matches, the visitors scored between one and three goals.
Crystal Palace vs Brighton & Hove Albion Prediction
Historically, Brighton have scored away to Crystal Palace: in eight away matches since promotion to the Premier League in 2018, both teams found the net. Given the recent form and scoring profiles, we expect both sides to score again.
