A run of poor results has dropped the Denver Nuggets to sixth place in the Western Conference. Nikola Jokić and his team urgently need to regroup, but next up they face the formidable Houston Rockets, who are fighting for a top-3 seed.
Denver Nuggets
In their last six games, they have managed only two wins, both against the inconsistent Los Angeles Lakers (120:113) and the struggling Utah Jazz (128:125). Over this stretch the team have conceded an average of 125.5 points, including 142 against the New York Knicks. That is a disastrous run. In offence, because of a long sequence of injuries, they are unable to score at the same rate.
Houston Rockets
The visitors are in significantly better form. Over their last 10 games they have a 6:4 record. During this spell Kevin Durant has been excellent, averaging 26.6 points with an outstanding 53.1% from the field. At the same time, they have been strong defensively, allowing just 108.5 points per game, which is a solid platform for the upcoming play-offs.
Denver Nuggets vs Houston Rockets Prediction
The home side have been very poor in defence, and we are confident that he and his team will have little trouble exploiting them. At the same time, the home side are likely to have considerable problems breaking down the visitors’ defence.
