Fabian Marozsan has been impressive this year and has claimed several notable wins. Roberto Bautista Agut has returned after a four-month absence and has looked lacklustre in 2026. He leads the head-to-head against Marozsan 2:1, but the upcoming match will not be easy.
Fabian Marozsan
Marozsan lost without winning a set to Yibing Wu (4:6, 2:6) early in 2026, but has played excellent tennis since then. He has won 6 of his 11 matches and in every one of them has taken at least one set. Moreover, he has taken sets off Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud and Arthur Rinderknech (twice) – all players ranked inside the ATP top 30. Now he returns to ATP Indian Wells, where last year he lost in the second round, but a year earlier he reached the round of 16, losing to the eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz.
Roberto Bautista Agut
Bautista Agut only returned to the tour in mid-January and his results have been unconvincing. He has lost four of his five matches, with his only win coming against Christopher O'Connell (No. 105 in the ATP rankings). Moreover, he has been losing even to lower-ranked opponents – Martin Damm and Juncheng Shang – both outside the top 100. His first serve has declined in particular: on average he gets only 68% of first serves in and wins 63% of points behind it. He does lead the head-to-head, but only once has he beaten Marozsan in straight sets.
Fabian Marozsan vs Roberto Bautista Agut Prediction
This match is likely to be competitive, and Bautista Agut will try to put pressure on Marozsan. However, the Hungarian has been playing at a very high level this season and looks like a clear favourite against his opponent, who is still far from his optimal form.
