In the second quarter-final, G2 Esports and MOUZ will face each other. The bookmakers consider MOUZ the favourites, which is not surprising, as they did not lose to G2 Esports even once last season.
G2 Esports
In Kraków, G2 Esports are showing an excellent level of play. Their only defeat came against the main favourites, Team Spirit, and even that was only in the decider. Their strength lies in a superb map pool. A 75% win rate on Ancient and Mirage speaks for itself, and that is far from their only asset. Dust II (57%) is another serious weapon.
MOUZ
MOUZ reached the play-offs thanks to a relatively easy bracket. Their only relatively strong opponents were Aurora Gaming, to whom the squad lost comprehensively. Yes, they did beat Team Falcons, but in their current form it is difficult to describe Team Falcons as a top-tier opponent. It is worrying that the old strategies no longer work, and the win rates on Mirage (25%) and Nuke (33%), maps that used to be comfortable for the team, are frankly alarming.
G2 Esports vs MOUZ Prediction
G2 Esports have had a much tougher path at this tournament and are far more deserving of a place in the semi-finals. The current MOUZ line-up are not a match for them, and we expect the squad to progress.
