Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Coppa Italia match.
Juventus, led by Luciano Spalletti, begin their Coppa Italia campaign from the Round of 16 stage. Their opponents are Udinese, whom they comfortably beat 3:1 just a month ago.
Juventus
For the first time in a long while, Juventus have won two matches in a row. At the weekend Cagliari succumbed to their pressure (2:1). That match turned into a showcase for the talented Kenan Yıldız. He scored twice before the break, settling the outcome. Importantly, the team did not stop there: 0.92 xG and six shots in the second half speak for themselves.
Udinese
Udinese’s main problem this season is their defence. Over 13 rounds they have managed to concede 20 goals (the third-worst record in the league). To make matters worse, key defender Hassane Kamara was injured recently, and without him there can be no talk of any reliability at the back.
Juventus vs Udinese Prediction
Yes, Juventus are still not perfect, but the progress is obvious. They have finally found their rhythm in attack and are scoring confidently. Udinese’s porous defence is very unlikely to hold out.
