Lecce suffered another setback over the weekend, this time losing 2:3 to Udinese. The team created just 0.38 xG while conceding three times from 1.08 xGA. Their struggles are largely explained by serious personnel issues, most notably the absence of Riccardo Sottil — their key creative force in attack — who has already registered a goal and an assist this season.
Napoli
Napoli defeated Inter Milan (3:1) in their last outing but paid a heavy price. Kevin De Bruyne, the team’s midfield brain, suffered an injury that will sideline him for several months. Combined with the loss of Stanislav Lobotka, the Neapolitans’ midfield now looks alarmingly fragile. Antonio Conte faces the challenge of patching up his side’s structure effectively.
