After a tough derby against Arsenal, Chelsea should find it easier in their match against Leeds United. Just ask the Manchester City players whether it is really that easy.
Leeds United
Yes, Manchester City started brightly, scoring in the first minute and then adding another from a corner, and it seemed everything was already decided. Leeds United, to their credit, reacted in the first half of the second half and scored twice. In terms of chances, they had seven shots to four, with more on target as well (four to three), and in expected goals (1.44-0.43 in xG) Leeds United were ahead of Manchester City. Even so, they conceded the decisive goal in the 91st minute. At the moment they have the toughest schedule of any club in the Premier League: by the end of the week they still have to face Liverpool as well.
Chelsea
After Leeds United, Chelsea will also face struggling Bournemouth, so the team could pick up six points this week. Last Sunday they failed to hold on to a win against Arsenal, but the hosts did open the scoring even after being reduced to ten men – Moisés Caicedo was sent off in the 38th minute. Overall, to avoid defeat against Arsenal in those circumstances and remain six points behind them is a fairly good outcome.
Leeds United vs Chelsea Prediction
But Chelsea will, of course, not be satisfied with a similar result at Elland Road, especially against a team who have already lost four matches in a row. They come into this round as the league’s top scorers away from home (14), so we are confident it is worth taking a risk on their win. Chelsea have more than enough resources.
