Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, are used to the midweek grind. In the last such round, they demolished Bayer Leverkusen (7:2) in the Champions League, and at the weekend brushed aside Stade Brestois (3:0) in Ligue 1, despite allowing 1.62 xGA. Paris Saint-Germain have scored 13 goals in their last three matches, showcasing ruthless attacking form.

Even with home advantage, Lorient have shown they cannot compete with stronger opponents — both of their league wins this season came after red cards to rivals. Under normal circumstances, PSG’s superiority should again be overwhelming, with multiple goals expected.
