Two of the Netherlands’ biggest names have been underwhelming of late. Both were knocked out in their opening matches at the European Tour event in Munich, offering little resistance. To be fair, van Veen impressed a week earlier, losing only to a red-hot Gerwyn Price. However, it remains unclear whether he can maintain that level. As for van Gerwen, confidence in his form is currently low. Although Michael has beaten Gian three times this year, this looks like a match where van Veen can turn the tables.
