Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the NBA match.
The Milwaukee Bucks continue their strong home stretch. After defeating the New York Nicks, the Bucks climbed to fourth in the Eastern Conference, and they clearly have no plans to slow down. Next up, they host the Golden State Warriors, who have won only once in their last five trips to Wisconsin.
Milwaukee Bucks
The formula for the Milwaukee Bucks’ success hasn’t changed in years — everything still revolves around Giannis Antetokounmpo. He is in phenomenal form, averaging 36.3 points and 14 rebounds per game this season. Encouragingly, several young players are stepping up to support him. In the 121:111 win over the New York Nicks, Ryan Rollins contributed 25 points, while Draymond Green dropped 20 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the previous game.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors’ start to the season looks decent on paper, but the issues are evident. The age of their core players is beginning to show, particularly on defence — fast-paced teams expose them with ease. The Memphis Grizzlies scored 118 points, and the Portland Trail Blazers even managed 139. Offensively, everything still depends on Stephen Curry, whose recent output — 17.5 points across the last two games — is below his usual standards.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Golden State Warriors Prediction
Despite the odds slightly favouring the Golden State Warriors, it’s difficult to imagine their ageing lineup containing Giannis. The Bucks’ star forward should dominate the paint once again and lead the team to another convincing home victory.
