Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the NHL match.
The Nashville Predators have not yet improved significantly compared with last season, while the Vancouver Canucks, as they did two years ago, have again found themselves in the top three of the Pacific Division.
Nashville Predators
After earning five of a possible six points at the start of the season, the squad have been unable to win for four consecutive games. They only managed to earn one point against the Montreal Canadiens (2:3 OT). The unsuccessful streak continued on home ice after their road trip. In their last game, the team lost to the Anaheim Ducks (2:5), who quite easily dealt with the usually reliable Juuse Saros — this time he saved only 84.4% of shots. These results do not allow the squad to climb higher than 13th place in the Western Conference.
Vancouver Canucks
The visitors were temporarily without important forwards Brock Boeser and Filip Chytil, who had already scored three goals each, which is why they were so weak offensively against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Their three-game road winning streak was sharply interrupted (1:5). The second period was particularly poor: a shot ratio of 3:14 led to three conceded goals in 20 minutes. The main hope in the match against the Nashville Predators is Thatcher Demko, who is capable of having a decisive impact. He already has 6.6 goals prevented.
Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks Prediction
The Vancouver Canucks were good on the road even in last season’s unsuccessful campaign (21-14-6), and are currently in positive territory at the start of this one (3-2-0), so with Demko in goal, they should take at least one point against the Nashville Predators.
