Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
The New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves have not met yet in this regular season, but they did face each other with their main squads in pre-season. The Knicks were stronger then, snatching an overtime win (100:95).
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have won their last two games, including a convincing result against Eastern Conference leaders the Chicago Bulls (128:116). We consider Josh Hart’s return to form the key reason. He had a poor start to the season, but in those wins he averaged 13 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4 assists. The squad have finally regained their engine, effective on both ends and often tipping the balance in their favour.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves are also on a two-game winning run, but those came against the Charlotte Hornets (122:105) and the Brooklyn Nets (125:109). They also failed to handle the injury-hit Los Angeles Lakers (115:116). The main concern is that Anthony Edwards is expected to return to the line-up today. As the opening games showed, with him they look much worse — that also applies to role players such as Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels and Donte DiVincenzo.
New York Knicks vs Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction
The New York Knicks have finally found the missing piece. They are in optimal shape and clearly intend to climb back towards the top of the standings as soon as possible. We doubt the inconsistent Timberwolves will be able to stop them.
