Adam Williams presents his prediction for the Women's EuroBasket qualifying match.
Great Britain lost a close game to Austria (81:85) in their last match, which dropped them to second place in the group. To feel secure, they need to deal convincingly with Norway.
Norway (women)
Norway started the qualifiers with two defeats, and judging by their play it is hard to see where a win will come from. In games against the far-from-elite Austria and Switzerland, Norway averaged only 40.5 points with a poor 27.9% field-goal percentage. It is clear that with such numbers the team will not go far.
Great Britain (women)
Great Britain are playing bright, attacking basketball in the qualifiers. The driving force of the side is the pair of Holly Winterburn and Temi Fagbenle. On average they combine for 44 points and 10.5 assists. The duo already made a name for themselves at the last FIBA Women's EuroBasket, so we have no reason to doubt their reliability.
Norway (women) vs Great Britain (women) Prediction
Great Britain, motivated by the defeat against Austria, will take the court with a clear aim of dominating the Norwegian defence. We do not think they have any realistic chance of withstanding this pressure.
