They looked decent in the Trophée des Champions against Paris Saint-Germain (2:3 after penalties) but ultimately lost, allowing 1.82 xGA over the 90 minutes. Since the end of October at the Orange Vélodrome, the hosts have won only half of their matches there (three out of six), and in their only home game of 2026 they lost 0:2 to Nantes.
Liverpool
The conflict between Mohamed Salah and the Liverpool management at the beginning of December reset all the processes inside the club. The side are unbeaten in 12 matches in a row, although wins do not always come. The team have complete trust in Arne Slot, so even the recent 1:1 draw with Burnley does not call the coach's quality into question. Incidentally, in that match at Anfield, they produced 3.19 xG and attempted 32 shots; with Hugo Ekitike and Mohamed Salah back in the squad, their chance conversion should definitely improve.
