Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Ligue 1 match.
Before their crucial Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain must first face another major test in Ligue 1 against one of the most dangerous sides at the moment — Nice.
Paris Saint-Germain
Both before Bayern Munich and against Nice, Paris Saint-Germain’s current form raises concern. In the French league, they have won only one of their last four matches, away to Stade Brestois (3:0). Everyone is used to seeing PSG play in an economy mode domestically, confident that the title will eventually be theirs. At times, though, this relaxed attitude costs them points — few expected Lorient to snatch a draw in the 10th round (1:1). Paris Saint-Germain remain top of the table mainly thanks to the fact that most of their rivals also slipped up.
OGC Nice
Nice may be eighth, but the gap between them and Paris Saint-Germain is only four points, showing how tight the table is near the top. Over the past three rounds, Nice have been the best in the division — the only side to collect all nine points. And the fixture list was hardly easy: Lyon (3:2), Rennes (2:1) and Lille (2:0). Any of those could have beaten them, yet the opposite happened — Nice have finally hit form.
Paris Saint-Germain vs OGC Nice Prediction
With Paris Saint-Germain’s players likely to have one eye on Bayern Munich and rotation expected, the hosts could be vulnerable. Nice have every chance to take something from this match, especially considering that their last visit to the Parc des Princes ended successfully (3:1).
