Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
After a shaky start, Bologna have closed in on the top four. The gap is only three points and, while the top sides face each other, they have an excellent chance to catch up. The next opponents are the outsiders Parma.
Parma
Parma have not won for four rounds: two draws and two defeats, even though they had a favourable run in that spell: Genoa and Lecce are even lower in the standings. Injuries to key players are to blame. In the near future, Mandela Keita and Emanuele Valeri will not be available for the hosts, and they are the links between attack and defence.
Bologna
Bologna, by contrast, are unbeaten in six rounds. The key to their good form is the attack. In five matches in this run they scored at least two goals. Yes, there is no out-and-out goal scorer for the visitors, but they do not need one. The nominal winger Riccardo Orsolini already has five goals, while Nicolò Cambiaghi, Santiago Castro and Jens Odgaard have added two each.
Parma vs Bologna Prediction
Parma deliberately avoid a pragmatic style, which often costs them. Their defence is porous, and only outsiders fail to exploit it. Bologna certainly don’t fall into that category, making them strong favourites to take all three points.
