Adam Williams presents his prediction for the NBA match.
The winning run of the Oklahoma City Thunder ended in the game against the Portland Trail Blazers at eight victories. Their road trip continues with the next stop in Sacramento, where the local Sacramento Kings will try to prevent the Oklahoma City Thunder from getting back to winning ways.
Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have been highly inconsistent this season (3:5). Their main issue is defence, or rather the lack of it. The team concede 120.4 points per game on average, ranking 25th in the league in this metric. Hopes are pinned on the offence, but it is not in the best shape either. The brain of this team, Domantas Sabonis, is in the infirmary; he averages 14.5 points, 14.2 rebounds, and four assists. It is almost impossible to cover his absence without a drop in quality.
Oklahoma City Thunder
In their last game, the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Portland Trail Blazers (119:121), but it should be understood that several key players were rested in that match. The absence of Chet Holmgren, who is averaging 20.6 points and 9.2 rebounds this season, was particularly significant. Otherwise there is little reason to worry about the visitors. They are already in the top five for points scored (122.2) and in the top three for points conceded (110.7).
Sacramento Kings vs Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction
We expect the Oklahoma City Thunder to come into this game determined to make amends. The hosts not only look fairly average, but have also lost a key player. Even at home, they have little chance here.
