Finding themselves on the verge of elimination already in the first qualifying phase, FaZe Clan suddenly pulled themselves together and produced an outstanding performance. They won five matches in a row and made it into the third round, where their first opponents will be the powerful Team Vitality.

Team Vitality come to the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 looking to make amends for their setback at the BLAST Rivals, where they were eliminated in the semi-finals by Team Falcons (0:2). Overall, they have everything needed to progress through the Swiss Stage with little difficulty. Even leaving aside the very high individual level of their players, they have a deep map pool that includes excellent Dust II (75% win rate) and Inferno (62%).
FaZe Clan
We should be objective: FaZe Clan do not have the resources to compete with such a top-level opponent. The situation could only be improved by a signature map on which the team would be able to surprise Team Vitality. However, their ceiling is a 60% win rate on Nuke, and even there many of their victories have come against tier-2 teams.

For Team Vitality this match is likely to be very comfortable. The squad will want to show their title ambitions from the very first map, so they will play at full intensity. FaZe Clan have no real answer to that.
