The third round of the Major qualifier opens with a match between The MongolZ and Imperial. The Brazilians began their run at the tournament back in the first qualifier and were on the verge of elimination, but as it turned out, luck was on their side. Perhaps it will help them produce an upset? In a Bo1 format, anything is possible.
The MongolZ
The strength of The MongolZ lies in their versatility. The team are able to play on almost any map and do so at a solid tier-1 scene level. Their priority pick is Ancient (62% winrate). In addition, they have a strong pistol round: in their last five matches they have won 19 of 26. This helps them take the initiative early and then close out opponents.
Imperial
Imperial reached the third round largely thanks to a favourable draw. They should have been eliminated back in the first stage, but meetings with clear outsiders The Huns Esports and NRG Esports helped them turn things around. The same thing happened later. Against their only serious opponent, NAVI, they were unable to put up much of a fight (10:13).
The MongolZ vs Imperial Prediction
We should not underestimate the experience of The MongolZ. It will be the key to their victory in this match. They have already gone through a large number of qualifiers and are unlikely to have problems with the Brazilian upstarts.
