Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
Pisa have finally left the relegation zone, but the hardest part lies ahead. Now they need to consolidate in mid‑table. Fortunately, a match against an inconsistent Torino could help them do that.
Torino
Torino come into this match on a four‑game unbeaten run: two wins and two draws. However, their condition is far from ideal. The treatment room still includes leading defender Christopher Nkunku, and without him they have to focus much more on defence, which could be a serious problem. The attack of the hosts is far from perfect: only twice this season have they scored more than one goal and on four occasions they failed to score at all.
Pisa
Pisa are on a run of three draws, but it is important to note that they took points off top sides AC Milan (2:2) and SS Lazio (0:0). In both cases it was not down to luck: against SS Lazio they almost doubled them in xG (0.93-0.48 in xG). And AC Milan escaped only thanks to a late equaliser in the 93rd minute. It seems another team have emerged in Serie A who can make life difficult for favourites.
Torino vs Pisa Prediction
Bookmakers are convinced Torino will win, but we would not rush to that conclusion. The visitors are confident after strong matches against the giants, so they travel to Turin aiming to take points. They are fully capable of doing so.
