Euro 2024 Group Stage Odds & Predictions
The countdown to the UEFA Euro 2024 has started with the final draw. All 24 teams were drawn in 6 groups. Euro 2024 will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The national teams will play 51 games to find out who will be crowned champion.
In this review, we will have a look at the chances of the teams to top their respective groups, evaluate Euros groups betting odds and provide some predictions for the teams to win the groups.
Euro 2024 Group A odds
This group includes Germany, Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland.
The results in Group A are the most difficult to predict. The Euro 2024 group betting odds for the teams to finish in top 2 prove it. Only Germany stands aside as they host the tournament and can’t fail their performance in the group in front of their fans. Germany has hosted big international tournaments on three occasions, reaching at least semi-finals each time.
Steve Clarke is the first Scottish head coach to qualify for the second consecutive Euro. Scotland performed well in the qualification tournament (5 victories in a row with only one goal conceded during this period). They started to lose only at the very end, but they had enough points to qualify.
Hungary were a problem for top teams last season. They finished 2nd in the UEFA Nations League group that included Italy, England and Germany and topped their UEFA Euro qualification group.
The Swiss squad is full of experienced players, namely Sommer, Shaqiri, Xhaka, Akanji. This is one of two European national teams (the second one is France) that have advanced to the play-offs in 5 big international tournaments (World Cup and Euro).
Last year was a disaster for Germany. They lost 6 out of their 11 games. Julian Nagelsmann was called up to resurrect the side. After some training a direction of future development was revealed in the game versus the United States (3:1). The new coach tends to make the side play fast football with a lot of movement when the team switches from defending actions to attacking ones. Opponents’ defenders can hardly predict further actions of German national team because of this versatile style.
Group A prediction: Germany will take first place.
Euro 2024 Group B odds
This is a group of death of this Euro. It includes Spain, Croatia, Italy and Albania.
Albania are unlikely to take the first place. They can end a game in a draw at best. This side topped their qualifying group for the first time in history. After being beaten by Poland (0:1) in the first game they had a 7-games unbeaten run.
After winning Euro 2020, Italy faced problems in their attacking line. They depend on Federico Chiesa. Italy had only 36 attempts on target in the qualifying stage (30th result).
The qualification was difficult for Croatia. The golden generation (Luka Modrić, Marcelo Brozović, Ivan Perišić, Domagoj Vida) are about to quit but they still can do their magic. The defensive line led by Joško Gvardiol, kept on doing their best, with only 4 goals conceded.
Spain are more balanced, Luis de la Fuente has fixed the style. The team isn’t stuck on possession, their passes have become better (658,8 accurate passes per match on average). The national team usually starts a game with a 4-3-3 line-up, changing it based on a situation. Spain managed to win the first trophy in the last 11 years, they won the UEFA Nations League. They are the main favourites to win the group.
Group B prediction: Spain will take first place.
Euro 2024 Group C odds
This group includes Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia and England.
England are the favourites to win the UEFA Euro 2024. You can bet on this at

. They feel the pressure every tournament. Recently, they have always been one step away from a trophy. They reached the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and lost the final game of the UEFA Euro 2020 against Italy on penalties. Gareth Southgate currently has the strongest squad. Harry Kane is a real star in the German Bundesliga. He has become the first player in 60 years to score 15 goals in the first 10 games. Jude Bellingham is a star of Real Madrid.
The remaining teams will fight to take the second position. Each of them has their own jokers. Slovenia has Benjamin Šesko, who is the top scorer of the team in the qualification with 5 goals. Serbia has Aleksandar Mitrovič, who scored 17 goals in the first 17 games for Al Hilal.
However, Denmark is likely to take second place. The side had 22 points in the qualification, they topped the group with the fifth result in created attempts on goal (27). The Danish side has a trigger as they lost their UEFA Euro 2020 semi-final game because of a controversial penalty kick.
Group C prediction: Denmark to qualify for play-offs.
Euro 2024 Group D odds
This group includes Poland, who won the play-offs, Netherlands, Austria and France.
Austria confidently secured their place in this tournament. They lost only 1 out of their 8 qualifying matches, finishing just 1 point behind Belgium. This is going to be the 4th Euro for Austria. But it won’t be easy for this side to compete with top teams. Austria have won only 2 out of their last 10 European championship games. They have scored over 1 goal just once, it was the game against North Macedonia (3:1).
France and the Netherlands will be the ones to fight for first place. The Dutch side won 6 out of their 8 qualifying games, losing two games against France (0:4 and 1:2). The Netherlands conceded 86% of the goals (6 out of 7) in these two matches. The French side can’t be stopped by anyone but themselves. For example, in the previous Euro in the Round of 16 Switzerland scored twice in 10 minutes, leveling the score. Kylian Mbappè missed from the penalty spot, leaving the tournament with no goals scored.
Group D prediction: France will take first place.
Euro 2024 Group E odds
This group includes Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine, who won the play-offs.
Domenico Tedesco has been building a new Belgium national team, creating a new golden generation that can be even better than the previous one. The attacking line includes Fast Leandro Trossard and eternal Romelu Lukaku, who is the top scorer of the qualifying tournament (14 goals). He only failed to score in the game versus Azerbaijan, with 48.3% of his shots ending with goals. Belgium are supposed to win the group -

Romania have more chances to take second place than any other team. Their current head coach Edward Iordănescu has revived the side, building a good defensive line, first of all. Romania didn’t lose a game during the qualifying tournament, finishing only 5 points behind Switzerland and conceding only 5 goals. Their young players have already reached top leagues. For example, Radu Drăgușin joined Tottenham in the beginning of 2024. Romania have scored 50% of their goals at UEFA Euro tournaments using some methods of restarting play, with no goals scored without some free/corner kicks etc in the last 7 games. Slovakia have conceded most goals after these kicks (7 out of 13).
Group E prediction: Romania to qualify for play-offs.
Euro 2024 Group F odds
This group inlcudes Portugal, Turkey, Czechia and Georgia, who won the play-offs.

Czechia finished their qualification taking 2nd position, right behind Albania on goal difference. The Czech side won only 4 out of their 8 games. The head coach left his position immediately after the qualification was over because some players went to a club one day prior to the decisive match. Turkey won their group ahead of Croatia. But it was a crazy tournament, with their head coach being sacked and replaced with Vincenzo Montella. The national team depends on Hakan Çalhanoğlu. He made 47 shots, the team created 5.43 xG when he played.
Roberto Martínez does his best with the Portuguese team. Cristiano Ronaldo is back in the squad. The team plays perfectly, winning all their qualifying games, scoring 36 goals and conceding only 2.
Group F prediction: Portugal will take first place.
We recommend placing outright bets on Euro 2024 group stage just before the start of the tournaments when the final squads are revealed.
