Kishane Thompson

After his debut in the Diamond League in 2023, Kishane Thompson improved his personal bests twice. His personal record is 9.77 seconds achieved during the 2024 Jamaican Olympic Trials. This result placed him ninth on the all-time 100-meters best performance list. His latest achievement indicates he is in peak shape.

Noah Lyles

Noah Lyles is the reigning world champion in the 100-meter sprint, which he won in 2022. His personal best of 9.81 seconds was achieved during the London Diamond League final in 2023. He definitely has chances to win, however maintaining peak performance levels in both 100 meters and 200 meters can be challenging.

Oblique Seville

Oblique Seville finished third at the 2023 Jamaican National Championships. And this year he achieved a personal best and world-leading time of 9.82, winning the Racers Grand Prix. Despite some rumors, there is no current indication of injuries, but lack of experience may be a factor.

Letsile Tebogo

Letsile Tebogo set a personal best in the 100-meter sprint with a time of 9.91 at the Botswana Championships in 2023. He then improved his best result winning a silver medal at the World Championships with a time of 9.88. At the 2023 African Championships Tebogo won gold medals in both 100-meter and 200-meter sprints.

Lamont Marcell Jacobs

Lamont Marcell Jacobs is the reigning Olympic champion and one of the most experienced sprinters in the field. His personal best of 9.76 is impressive but it was achieved back in 2021. In 2023 he suffered a hamstring injury, had to withdraw from several events and since that time was gradually recovering.

The previous year she won gold at the World Championships in Budapest. Richardson set her personal best of 10.65 in 2021. She has successfully regained her confidence and speed after previous setbacks, including a suspension that kept her out of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Julien Alfred

Youngster from Saint Lucia Julien Alfred is rapidly progressing over the last two seasons. In 2023, she finished fifth in the 100 meters final at the World Championships in Budapest, clocking a time of 10.89. Later Alfred had a standout performance at the Monaco Diamond League, where she won the 100-meter sprint with a time of 10.85. But that’s not the end. Her season's best is 10.78, which ranks her among the fastest sprinters heading to the Olympics.

Shericka Jackson

Last year Jamaican Shericka Jackson competed in several Diamond League events, consistently finishing on the podium. She won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championship. Her personal best of 10.65 was achieved last year. And what is important is that she is among those who have Olympic experience. In Tokyo she finished fourth.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is a legendary Jamaican sprinter and one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of athletics. Two-time Olympic champion has a total of ten World Championship titles. Her personal best of 10.60 was achieved in 2021. But even now at the age of 37 she demonstrates extraordinary performance with last years’ silver medal at the World Championships in Budapest, clocking a time of 10.67.

Melissa Jefferson

Another American Melissa Jefferson gained recognition by winning the 100-meter sprint at the 2022 NCAA Championships where she clocked a time of 10.69, which is her personal best. This year Jefferson finished second at the 2024 US Olympic Trials with a time of 10.80, which places her just behind the main contenders for the Olympic gold.
