Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024: Predictions and Betting Tips for the Formula 1 Race
The final round of the 2024 Formula 1 season takes place from December 6 to 8 in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina Circuit. This will be the 24th race of the current season.
What odds have the bookmakers prepared for the stage in Abu Dhabi? Find the best odds for the racing weekend in our review.
Although the suspense in the title race was lost after Max Verstappen's early victory, there's still a compelling reason to watch the season's final race. Only eight points separate Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, and both will be prepared to go all-in for every point.
Who will win?
2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Winner Odds
As expected, after his triumph in Qatar, Max remains the bookmakers’ favourite. It’s noteworthy that to secure victory and maintain his lead during that race, he didn't need to push his slightly worn car to its limits.
Recall, at the recent Grand Prix, Max Verstappen took first place, Charles Leclerc was second, and Oscar Piastri claimed third. Disappointingly for his fans, Lando Norris only managed to finish in tenth position.
Formula 1 Drivers' Championship Title Betting Odds
The only achievement left for Max this season is trying to widen the gap to a hundred points with the nearest contender. For this, Lando would need an even poorer weekend than in Qatar, and Verstappen would have to take first place again.
Elsewhere on the grid, we won’t see much serious positional battling. Lewis Hamilton is already out of reach of his competitors, and it seems unlikely Carlos Sainz can challenge Oscar Piastri.
Intrigue remains only for fans of the drivers outside the top ten, where sometimes just two points separate competitors.

McLaren vs Ferrari – the main intrigue of the year
The final stage is crucial not only for Norris and Leclerc but also for their teams. Considering their similar performances throughout the season, both could finish in the top six, where just a couple of points could decide the fate of second place.
However, the Constructors' Championship battle is much tighter. Ferrari trails McLaren by 21 points, so just placing in the top five won’t suffice. Sainz and Leclerc will need to compete for podiums, as McLaren also stands to gain significant points and widen the gap further from their pursuers.
If the teams tie on points, the Constructors' Championship will be determined by the number of wins over the season. Currently, McLaren and Ferrari each have five wins. But this scenario for determining the tournament's outcome seems improbable. It's likely McLaren will maintain their lead and deliver the coveted trophy to their team mechanics.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Prediction
Motivated by a desire to bounce back from his Qatar disappointment, Norris isn’t looking for excuses and candidly admits their car has reached a whole new level, implying the season’s outcome now rests solely on the driver's skill.
Leclerc, on the other hand, doesn’t seem as driven and openly admits that second place isn’t crucial for him. However, he believes Yas Marina suits their car better than the Qatar track did.
Nonetheless, McLaren still enjoys a significant advantage on the straights, and it's unclear how Charles plans to counter this straight-line speed, especially between turns 5 to 6 or between turns 8 to 9. Thus, Lando's chances for a podium finish remain high as ever.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Schedule and Weather Forecast
As usual, meteorologists predict hot weather for the final stage. From Friday to Sunday, daytime temperatures will reach 27-29°C, cooling to 22-24°C in the evening.
