Sports selection — normal

We calculated the margin for Unibet by analyzing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:

From 1% to 5%: Low

From 5.01% to 7%: Normal

From 7.01% to 10%: High

Football

We got our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the over / under for different football leagues. Getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

Unibet has an overall average margin of 5.4% for football and falls in the normal category. In the first section with Premier League and Championship, the margin is at 4.2%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Seria A, the margin is at 5.64%. Finally, taking the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa into account, the margin is at 6.37%.

Betting options — good

Unibet has at the time of writing 35 individual sports available, one of the highest we have ever seen. It ranges from the usual Football, Horse racing and tennis, to all the major US sports as well. Overall the main focus is obviously on European sports, given where the majority of its customers are based but US Sports are also surprisingly well catered for comprising niche events like Surfing, UFC and even WWE Pro Wrestling.

Football

The most popular sports in Europe is by far Football and the number of games and the number of bets you can place on this at Unibet is truly incredible.  At the time of writing (A Friday evening), there are incredible 87,726 markets to bet on. This is spread across games from all around the world, they literally cover A-Z, you can bet on games from Algeria to Zambia. The number of markets for each game is dependant on the league and profile of the game, but for major games, such as the UK Premier League, you can bet on well over 300 different predictions.

For those wondering how you can possibly get to that many different propositions they are split as follows:

Full-Time results, Half Time results, 3 Way Handicap, Asian Lines, Corners, Cards, Goal Scorers, Player Cards, Player Specials, Player Goals, Player and Team Shots, Scorecast/Wincast, Match Events.

In-play — good

For most sports Unibet offers the complete “In Play” betting experience. You can enjoy live scores, stats, and top quality live streams, from Serie A football games to International Badminton games., To further increase the value of the live betting product they run a “bet club” where 5 bets in play each week of £10 or more qualify you for another £10 free-bet.

A sign of quality is that you know your maximum stake amount in advance and the odds are fixed for 60 seconds (on select events) so you are not rushed into accepting bets you did not think about or repeatedly fail to get bets accepted. At Unibet with, In-Play bets you also even have the option to cash out.

Bonuses

Unibet has a very nice bonus for all new users.

The promotion combines a little bit from both the sports betting section as well as the casino. In order to receive this bonus, the player must simply create a new account at Unibet and make a deposit. After this is done new players will receive £10 in casino cash and £40 back on the first bet made. What this means is that if your first bet loses, then you will receive up to £40 returned to you, depending on how much was wagered. The player will also gain access to Unibet TV, where there are live streams for over 40,000 events including popular leagues like La Liga, Serie A, the NBA and the NHL.

  • You cannot withdraw the bonus money until the entire bonus has been completed, cancelled or expired.
  • The ten euro bonus won’t be deposited into the player’s account until the following business day after the first deposit was made.
  • The player must be 18 years of age, a new customer and located in the United Kingdom to receive this bonus.
  • The odds for bets using the bonus money must be at least 1.40 or higher even if used in an accumulator.
  • The player must bet at least 3X the bonus money in order to withdraw it. So, if the player receives the £40 then they will need to wager at least £120 before withdrawing.

Unfortunately, more often than not people write reviews only when there are issues that still remain. When everything is running smoothly, they often do not write. We ask that you also fill in the positive field, so that the review can achieve its maximum objective. We are sure, that you will tell us the negatives, as well as the positives of these bookmakers.
