After the lost 2022 World Cup final, France saw some changes, with Hugo Lloris, Raphaël Varane and Karim Benzema leaving the national team. It never meant a global revolution, though as Didier Deschamps remained. The French side topped their qualifying group, setting some records in one game. Their victory (14:0) over Gibraltar was the biggest in both the national team and Euro qualifiers history. Another interesting fact is that 14 different players managed to score at least 1 goal.

Germany

The new coach managed to change the generation easily, putting some young players to the main squad. He was a head coach in Spain U-19, U-21, U-23 national sides. Some experienced players have remained too. Around 11 players from the current squad were in Qatar.
Spain with de la Fuente won the Nations League, topped their Euro qualification group, winning 9 out of the last 10 games. This coach has brought back the classic Spain with short passes, fact movement of the ball and constant dangerous playing in the offensive line. Portugal
Portugal have changed, too, after being eliminated in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals by Morocco (0:1). Netherlands

Italy
It’s hard to explain what happened to Italy in the last 4 years. Their decline started after they won the UEFA Euro 2020. Missing the 2022 World Cup was the main sign. Luciano Spalletti was called up to save the team. The way to the EURO wasn’t easy. A draw in the last game of the group stage against Ukraine was the only thing that helped Italy to advance.
