BetVictor was founded by William Chandler, who owned Walthamstow Stadium. After he died in 1946, the bookmaking part of the business was passed to two of his sons, Victor Sr. and Jack. The company was formerly called Victor Chandler International Limited. It was renamed to 'VC Bet' for branding reasons in 2004, but in late 2008 Chandler himself chose to revert the name to 'Victor Chandler'. In 2012, the company renamed itself again as BetVictor.
In 1998 Victor Chandler took the historic step of taking his entire business off-shore to avoid UK gambling tax, moving the headquarters to Gibraltar, where its operational headquarters are still located. Businessman and racehorse owner Michael Tabor now owns the company. For the 2021/22 season, BetVictor will be sponsoring Premier League side Fulham in a 2 year deal that also covers the Fulham Women's team. In addition, BetVictor also sponsored the Cheltenham Gold Cup until 2021.
BetVictor is now one of Europe’s leading online gaming companies with customers from over 150 countries and currently employs over 400 people, with offices in London and Budapest.

It’s not quite that simple though as all bonuses come with full T&C’s attached and often you have to make your first bet at certain odds to release the bonus.
