AC Milan are in the hunt for a European qualification spot, currently trailing sixth place by five points. Atalanta remain in the top three, though their advantage over the teams below is narrow. With a ten-point gap separating them from Inter Milan, the title appears out of reach, yet the squad will still be determined to fend off Napoli in the battle for a higher finish.

AC Milan have rediscovered some form, winning three of their last five matches. Over that period, they have netted 12 goals and now sit fourth in Serie A for goals scored (51). In attack, Tijani Reijnders (10+3) and Christian Pulišić (9+8) have been key contributors. However, defensive issues remain — AC Milan have conceded in seven of their last eight home games.
Atalanta
Despite enduring a run of three consecutive defeats, Atalanta still occupy third place with 61 points. Their 2:0 victory over Bologna brought an end to that losing streak, with Mateo Retegui, the league’s top scorer (23+5), getting on the scoresheet. Nevertheless, Atalanta have shown defensive fragility, conceding four decisive goals in recent clashes with top-tier opposition — Lazio (0:1), Fiorentina (0:1), and Inter Milan (0:2).

Both teams have found the net in each of the last four meetings between them, although AC Milan have only managed one win in that stretch. They are currently strong going forward, and Atalanta also pose plenty of attacking threat. Given the defensive vulnerabilities on both sides, backing goals from each team appears the most sensible approach.
