Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
Following the October international break, AC Milan have started to show much more stability in both the Champions League and the Italian league. AC Milan are the favourites against Juventus, as the home advantage at San Siro is expected to play a key role, and they have fewer squad issues compared to their rivals.
AC Milan
In November, AC Milan scored seven goals across three matches in the Champions League and Serie A. In Madrid against Real Madrid (3:1), the team demonstrated a counter-attacking masterclass: Rafael Leão frequently cut through on his flank, notching up two assists. Nonetheless, AC Milan still lack consistency, as seen in the draw against Cagliari (3:3). Despite this, they have underperformed their xG, scoring 20 goals with an expected goals of 23.21, indicating their ability to create chances is spot on.
Juventus
During the same four-week period, Juventus have yet to settle on an optimal central defensive pairing. It's likely that Federico Gatti and Pierre Kalulu will start against AC Milan; neither was among Thiago Motta's first-choice players at the beginning of the season. Against Torino (2:0), Juventus relied heavily on their depth, but they created very few truly dangerous chances (4-1 in shots on target).
AC Milan vs Juventus Prediction
Juventus might continue to be hindered by Dušan Vlahović's inefficiency in front of goal at San Siro: the Serbian striker should have scored nine goals, given an xG of 9.28, but has only six actual goals. With their best squad available, AC Milan are closer to securing the win, although a cautious bet is preferred.
