Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Europa League match.
AEK
The Greek side started perfectly well in this group stage. They beat Brighton (3:2) and ended their game versus Ajax in a draw (1:1). However, they didn’t manage to do anything in both games against Marseille (1:3 and 0:2). The game in France was lost completely, while in Greece they only were worse in 0,3 xG. AEK were better than Marseille in passes to the opponents side (40:19) and to the penalty box (15:9).
Brighton
Brighton has been a pale reflection of themselves this season. They have a lot of problems and many injuries only make it worse. Brighton can hardly take points even in their games against quite average teams. Their fans saw draws in the games versus Fulham (1:1) and Sheffield United (1:1). They also hardly managed to beat Nottingham Forest (3:2) in the last round.
AEK - Brighton prediction
AEK already beat Brighton in the first game. They can do it again. The Seagulls have significant problems due to many players being injured. Three out of four central defenders can’t play now. These are Dunk, Webster and Igor. Lamptey, Ansu Fati, Mitoma, Milner, Solly March, Danny Welbeck, Julio Enciso and Estupiñán are also injured.
AEK can beat the Seagulls one more time.
