Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Saudi Pro League match.
Al-Hilal are set to end the season without silverware – a rare outcome for a club of their calibre. The hosts will be eager to conclude the campaign on a positive note in front of their home supporters. Meanwhile, for Al-Qadsiah, it’s a season of breakthroughs: a push for third place and a spot in the King’s Cup final have far exceeded expectations for a newly promoted side. The visitors need at least a draw to secure a top-three finish and will battle for a result until the final whistle.
Al-Hilal
This campaign has been disappointing for Al-Hilal – no league triumph, no cup success, and no impact in the Champions League. To add to their woes, they enter the final matchday with a depleted squad: three key defenders – João Cancelo, Yasser Al-Shahrani, and Mohammed Al-Yami – are sidelined, along with attacking winger Kaio César. Al-Hilal have also parted company with head coach Jorge Jesus. Defensively, they have struggled – conceding 41 goals, the worst record among the league’s top six, and committing 13 defensive errors that led to goals in the last seven rounds.
Al-Qadsiah
Al-Qadsiah have had an outstanding debut season in the top division – challenging for bronze and reaching the national cup final. They have proven to be a well-drilled unit: 53 goals scored and just 29 conceded over 33 rounds – the league’s best defensive statistics. Their attacking partnership of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Julián Quiñones has been prolific, combining for 37 goals. Al-Qadsiah have also demonstrated their ability to perform against top-tier opponents, having beaten Al-Nassr twice and Al-Hilal once this season.
Al-Hilal vs Al-Qadsiah Prediction
Although Al-Hilal will look to finish the season strongly, their injury setbacks could prevent them from claiming victory. Al-Qadsiah, by contrast, have more to play for in the standings, a well-balanced squad, and are unbeaten in their last six matches. The visitors are well-positioned to secure a result and continue their impressive run.
