Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the ATP Dubai match.
Alexander Bublik enters the ATP Dubai tournament in poor form, with his place in the top 50 under threat. A disappointing result here could see the Kazakh player drop out of the elite ranks of world tennis. Meanwhile, Félix Auger-Aliassime has been in strong form this season, already securing two ATP titles. Their head-to-head record stands at 2:2.
Alexander Bublik
Bublik’s struggles continue, as he has won just one of his last 19 matches against top-50 opponents. His recent tournaments have been marked by early eliminations in the first or second round, with his last deep run coming at Wimbledon in July 2024. This season, his matches have rarely been extended battles—six of his last seven have seen a total of under 20.5 games.
Félix Auger-Aliassime
Auger-Aliassime has started the year on a much stronger note. The Canadian has claimed two ATP 250 titles (Adelaide and Montpellier) and reached the semi-finals in Doha, benefiting from opponent withdrawals. He has also performed well against top-level competition, winning eight of his last ten matches against top-50 players. Additionally, his movement around the court has improved, and with his powerful serve, he has already recorded 166 aces this season.
Alexander Bublik vs Félix Auger-Aliassime Prediction
Bublik is in poor form and has struggled to progress through tournament draws. We do not expect him to pose a serious challenge to Auger-Aliassime, who is edging closer to the top 20. The Canadian is in much better shape and continues to collect ranking points at Masters events—something Bublik has been unable to do. Given the current form of both players, we back Auger-Aliassime to win in straight sets.
