Adam Williams presents his prediction for the EuroLeague match.
With just two rounds left in the regular season, Partizan remain two wins adrift of the crucial tenth spot. They are now in a must-win situation for both remaining games, meaning the squad will face Žalgiris with maximum urgency.
Žalgiris
Žalgiris have lost their last three EuroLeague fixtures and are now officially out of playoff contention. Andrea Trinchieri has struggled to establish any rhythm on offence. In recent defeats against Barcelona Bàsquet, AS Monaco Basket, and ASVEL Basket, the team managed an average of just 76.3 points per game — a disappointing output given that none of those opponents are particularly renowned for their defensive strength. The team’s key contributors have also lacked consistency: put up 15 points against AS Monaco Basket, only to follow it with just 7 in the game against ASVEL Basket.
Partizan
Partizan have faced similar challenges. Across their last five EuroLeague games, they have managed just one victory — and that came against bottom-placed Alba Berlin. In the other four matches, their offence looked far from convincing, averaging only 72.3 points. Once a leading presence, Tyrique Jones has averaged just 6.6 points during this spell, while Sterling Brown has contributed 9.4. With such statistics coming from their key players, it's clear why the team have struggled to pick up wins.
Žalgiris vs Partizan Prediction
In the reverse fixture, the two sides combined for 162 points. With both teams currently struggling at the offensive end, it's hard to see them surpassing that total this time. Backing the Total Under looks like a sensible option.
