Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the 2024 Masters match.
Allister Carter
Allister Carter performed marvelously against Mark Allen, winning 6:3 with three century breaks in a row. Carter is in perfect form. He will try to get a title of this kind for the first time in his career. He can get in the top 5 at the end of the season. Neil Robertson, for example, keeps on falling. Allister Carter has been the best in this tournament, not taking the final into the account, so far. He’s shown good speed, series, creativity and sports aggressiveness sometimes. It has given him what he needs.
Ronnie O’Sullivan
Ronnie has eliminated Shaun Murphy easily. His opponent wanted to get O’Sullivan into a long match, but the favourite had something on his mind, getting the game to the final rapidly. Ronnie will be the oldest player to get the title if he wins. He’s already been the youngest one to do so. Ronnie can get all the Triple Crown titles for the first time in his career if he wins. He needs to win now and in Sheffield. So, Ronnie is motivated.
Allister Carter – Ronnie O’Sullivan prediction
The head-to-head games statistics is on the side of O’Sullivan. Totally (22:3). Ronnie O’Sullivan keeps on being the best player in the world. He can win at least 7 frames, I believe so. However, Carter can win the first frame as it is some kind of training for O’Sullivan.
