Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the US Open match.
Anna Bondar
Anna Bondar places a special emphasis on clay courts and spends most of her season on them. She only shifts to hard courts for special occasions, and the US Open is one of them. This season, Bondar has achieved just five wins on hard courts, two of which came in an ITF series tournament, and two more during Australian Open qualifying.
Anna Kalinskaya
In the first round, Kalinskaya left no chance for American Lauren Davis (6:2, 6:2). The Russian tennis player expended minimal effort, taking just 68 minutes to secure the win. Anna faced only one break point throughout the match and won over 50% on both first and second serve returns.
Anna Bondar - Anna Kalinskaya Prediction
Beyond the difference in class, it’s worth noting how the players have prepared for the tournament. Kalinskaya played in both Toronto and Cincinnati, competing in five matches on the North American hard courts. Bondar, on the other hand, only had a loss in the qualifying stage in Cleveland.
