Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the English Premier League match.
Before the current season, experts placed these clubs in different classes, but after 11 rounds, they find themselves as neighbours in the table. It's not that Arsenal have slumped; rather, Nottingham Forest have improved their game. Now they face a classic six-pointer.
Arsenal
It's fair to say Arsenal have not been perfect in all aspects. There are games where they fail to score due to poor finishing, as seen against Newcastle United (0:1). On several occasions, they have been reduced to ten men, which immediately impacts the result, such as against Brighton (1:1) and Bournemouth (0:2). Outside the League Cup, Arsenal struggle to score more than two goals. Since early October, in both the Premier League and the Champions League, the London side have seen the total under 2.5 goals in six out of eight games.
Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest typically favour low-scoring matches. The total under 2.5 goals has been a successful bet in seven of their 11 Premier League games. Only the last three have been unexpectedly goal-rich, with even one side scoring three goals. Leicester City and West Ham United conceding three isn't surprising—it's common for them. But Newcastle scoring three was unexpected, as they usually play low-scoring games like against Arsenal.
Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
Despite Nottingham Forest's recent goal-filled matches, we don't foresee many goals in the upcoming encounter. The visitors will clearly play a defensive game, and breaking through their defence will be extremely challenging. A result similar to their game against Liverpool (1:0) is possible.
