Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Miami ATP match.
Arthur Rinderknech holds a head-to-head advantage over Jaume Munar, but their respective performances this season suggest the Spaniard has the upper hand.
Arthur Rinderknech
Since the start of 2025, the Frenchman has won just two matches out of ten, meaning he has only progressed beyond the first round in two tournaments. One of these was at the ATP 250 event in Montpellier, but even there, he lost to world No. 178 Nikoloz Basilashvili (0:6, 6:7), which does not reflect well on him. His other second-round appearance came at a similar event in Delray Beach, Florida, where he defeated world No. 208 Dmitry Popko (6:2, 6:4) before falling to world No. 61 Cameron Norrie (6:7, 2:6).
Jaume Munar
Jaume Munar currently ranks 56th in the world, sitting 18 places above Rinderknech. Their only previous meeting came in Metz in 2022, where Munar lost despite the two players being nearly equal in ranking at the time (Munar was also 56th, while Rinderknech was 60th). That match was a tightly contested three-setter (6:2, 2:6, 7:5), lasting 2 hours and 5 minutes. However, Munar has performed significantly better than Rinderknech this season, with seven wins and five losses. The Spaniard has already reached two semi-finals—one in Hong Kong in January and another in Dallas in February.
Arthur Rinderknech vs Jaume Munar Prediction
Given Rinderknech's struggles, particularly against lower-ranked opponents, he is unlikely to pose much of a threat. Jaume Munar should secure a straight-sets victory.
