Aryna Sabalenka along with Iga Świątek are top 5 players that still remain in the tournament. After the other three were eliminated, the path to win the title seems to be easier. Emma Raducanu is the opponent Sabalenka to face in the third round and this game won’t be easy as Raducanu confidently won previous matches and she’s performing in front of her local audience.
Aryna Sabalenka
She has performed confidently in the Grand Slam tournaments. She has reached at least the quarter-finals on the last 10 occasions. However, Aryna hasn’t been confident in four out of her five last games on grass in 2025, not being able to beat handicap (-5.5). She had a tough game versus Branstine (7:5 in the second set) and Bouzková (7:6 in the first set). The only game against Raducanu ended in the following victory (6:3, 7:5).
Emma Raducanu
Raducanu has been performing very well in this tournament. He beat the British player Xu and the last year champion Vondroušová, with both games ending 6:3, 6:3. Emma Raducanu had only 33 unforced errors in those two games (72% first-serve points). The British player has won at least 12 games in 6 out of her last 7 games played on grass, having even 8 in the game versus Sabalenka in Indian Wells.

Despite the status of the favourite, Sabalenka has had some problems with the early stages of some tournaments, especially the ones played on grass. Raducanu will not give up without fighting in front of the home crowd.
