Adam Williams presents his prediction for the EuroLeague match.
In their debut under the guidance of Vassilis Spanoulis, AS Monaco surprised many by defeating Panathinaikos away (91:88). Now, they face their first home game. Will they manage to thrill the fans against another Greek club?
AS Monaco
Currently, AS Monaco are among the top five offensive teams, averaging 85.3 points per game. Their recent victory was secured thanks to an outstanding performance from Alpha Diallo, who scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. However, their recent matches have highlighted defensive issues. Before allowing 88 points from Panathinaikos, they conceded 92 against ASVEL and 98 from Crvena Zvezda.
Olympiacos Piraeus
The Greek side also focus on an attacking style. They average just over 85 points per game, although this average was dampened by a poor outing against Partizan (70:78). Prior to that, Olympiacos scored at least 90 points in five consecutive EuroLeague matches. However, like AS Monaco, they too struggle defensively. Even Maccabi Tel Aviv and ASVEL managed to score 91 and 92 points against them, respectively.
AS Monaco vs Olympiacos Piraeus Prediction
This will be a clash between two evenly matched teams, so we prefer not to risk predicting the winner. Considering the playing styles of both teams, we believe the result will not be low-scoring.
