Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the Serie A match.
AS Roma
AS Roma have started the season well, beating Pisa (1:0) and Bologna 1909 (1:0). Matías Soulé is in excellent form, continuing to find the net since pre-season. Across six matches in August, five of which he started, the Argentinian scored four times. In addition, Paulo Dybala has returned to fitness, which should strengthen the hosts’ attack.
Torino
Torino, by contrast, are in poor form. In the opening round they were heavily beaten by Inter Milan (0:5), and in the second they drew 0:0 at home with ACF Fiorentina, yet they were second best on the statistics (1.02-1.75 in xG). That defensive unit looks vulnerable against AS Roma’s attack, which has been effective and consistent.
AS Roma vs Torino Prediction
AS Roma are clear favourites, and the expectation is that they justify that status. Torino look limited and are unlikely to offer much resistance, especially away from home.
